Even if I never get to see you again,

You will always be the one that got under my skin.

Even if I never get to have another kiss,

Yours will be the one I will always miss.

If I never again get to hold your hand,

Why I can never have your fingers between my fingers, I will never understand.

Even if I never again get to see your smiling face,

It will always be there in my mind’s special place.

Even if I can never again get to hug you tight,

I will have you in my dreams where I can hold you through the night.

Even if I never again get to breathe the essence of you,

My soul will miss your soul and that is true.

Even if I never again touch your skin,

To never have felt your touch would have been the real sin.

Even if I never again get to see you online,

I still know that once you were mine.

Even if we never again just sit and park,

I still remember the times we had in the dark.

Even if I never again get to hear your voice,

Believe me, baby, it's not my choice.

Even if I never again get to walk by your side,

I will always remember our walks, stride for stride.

Even if we never again go to the show,

Going to the movies will never be the same, I want you to know.

Even if we never ever go out to eat again,

I don't think I could ever step foot in another Cane's.

Even if I never again get to whisper in your ear,

I think if I had whispered the right words, you would still be here.

I know that we could never again be friends

I could never just be your friend, but I will love you 'till the end.

I know I will never get to say I love you,

But I will love you forever and that is true.
