I CAN JUST IMAGINE

I CAN JUST IMAGINE

As I'm standing on the street watching you walk by, you are all I can see.
I can just imagine us together, me holding you and you holding me.
I can just imagine my lips on your lips and your lips on mine.
I know if I could taste your lips, they would taste like very fine wine.

I can just imagine you looking deep into my eyes
Like you're trying to see my soul, looking all mesmerized.
I can just imagine you touching me in places only you can see.
You touching me in places that you know will set me free.

I can just imagine holding you through the night,
Holding you tight in my arms until the morning light.
I can just imagine your scent, the smell of your perfume.
Everywhere I go I would be able to tell if you had been in the room.

I can just imagine running my fingers through your hair
While you show me just how much you care.
I can just imagine the kinds of things people would say,
If I was with you and you with me arm and arm every day.

I can just imagine your heart beating with my heart;
Our hearts playing in harmony each playing their own part.
I can just imagine wiping away your tears when you are sad,
Or just trying to keep up with you when you are being bad.

I can just imagine you never giving me any rest,
That you will always be putting me to the test.
I can just imagine that you were sent to me from above.
And I will spend my life giving you all my love.

I can just imagine being with you for the rest of my life.
I know we could make it to the end, me as your husband and you as my wife.
I can just imagine us with lots of people packed in a room.
It would be so beautiful, you would be the bride and I would be the groom.

I can just imagine watching you change over time;
Knowing that every time you changed, you would still be mine.
I can just imagine as the years go by the story that would have been told.
If only you would have stopped that day, together we could have grown old.
