FRIENDS

You know when you're in need; I'm there to give you a helping hand.

Good or bad no matter where you are I'm your biggest fan.

Whatever happens in life, I will be there until the end.

You know, wherever you go and whatever you do, I will always be your friend.

I know if I need a hug, your arms will always be there.

If I just need to talk, I can always have your ear.

I know that if I need a dollar, you'll be the one to lend.

No matter what I want or need, I know you will always be my friend.

If you get lost, I will search for you and bring you home.

If you’re cold, I will warm you and keep you from being alone.

If you have questions, you can ask me again and again.

When everyone else has abandoned you, I will still be your friend.

I know if I need you to, you would go across the ocean,

And not just to give a gesture or go through the motion.

Whatever you do for me I know is not a trend,

That you will always be there, you will always be my friend.

I would run through fire to keep you by my side.

To keep you from leaving, I would push back the tide.

To keep the path straight back to me, I will straighten the river that bends.

I know as life goes on that we will always be friends.

I would fly to the clouds way up high.

There is something that we have that money can't buy.

When we are together, we are who we are and don't have to pretend.

I don't have to worry about the message that I send, because you will always be my friend.

I know you would climb the highest mountain or descend into the deepest cave.

You would go anywhere you had to if it was me you had to save.

My right to believe what I believe you will always defend.

There is a bond that keeps us together so you will forever be my friend.

I would fight a bloody battle just to hold you in my arms.

I would die a painful death to keep you from harm.

You can have friends that are friends and lovers that are lovers and the two will never blend.

But when you have a friend as a lover, you will always have a friend.
