JUST LIKE
Just like the wind has its breeze and
the trees have their leaves.
Just like the winter has its freeze and
the honey has its bees.
Just like a ghost has its boos and the
sky has its blue.
Just like a one has its two, baby I’ve
got you.
Just like the sun has its rays and the
coast has its bays.
Just like a writer has his plays and
the months has its days.
Just like a dog has its fleas and the
ocean has its seas.
Just like a piano has its keys, baby
you’ve got me.
Just like a bird has its flight and a
bull has its might.
Just like the eyes have their sight and
the left has its right.
Just like everybody has their time and
every hustler has their crime.
Just like every poem has its rhyme,
baby you are mine.
Just like fashion has its trends and
the middle has its ends.
Just like a bank has money that it
lends and a computer has its email to send.
Just like fishermen have their lures
and scientists have their cures.
Just like liquor has its liqueurs, baby
I’m yours.
