The truth about love
I taste your essence, and it
lingers on my lips.
I touch your soul, and it
burns my fingertips.
I shocked my lips by kissing
your mind.
I
saw your thoughts, and in that minute, I was blind.
I once loved a shadow that disappeared
with the setting sun.
I was left sitting in the
dark when it was all said and done.
I became lost, cut down to
size.
My
whole world changed when I looked into your eyes.
I gazed deep into your eyes
and to my surprise
I could see the truth, and
there were no lies.
I held you in my arms and
prayed that it would never end.
You showed me the truth about
love, then blew away with the wind.
