I THOUGHT OF YOU

Today I watched the sun rise, just enough for me to see.

New born colors danced across the sky just for me.

The sun kissed the earth with a golden ray.

I could feel the love, I thought of you today.

The wind was whispering sweet nothings to the leaves in the trees.

The flowers were seducing the birds and the bees.

The grass was glistening from the touch of the morning dew.

In the shadow of mother nature, today I thought of you.

There’s a mist that fell from the morning sky.

In the mist was a rainbow that made me sigh.

At the end of the rainbow sits a pot of gold, or so they say.

I found my pot of gold when I thought of you today.

In the middle of the day, a fragrance stops me in my tracks.

My senses are confused as they diagnose the facts.

Seeing you were nowhere in sight, I felt blue.

Then I had to smile because today I thought of you.

Today I saw a bird soaring high in the sky.

Suddenly, I felt like I wanted to fly.

There was beauty in his flight as he glided away.

Looking at such beauty, I thought of you today.

Today I thought I saw you in a crowd.

I thought I heard your voice yell out loud.

I was overcome by a love so true.

Watching the sun go down, today I thought of you.

Some days I get a big surprise,

In my mind, I can see your eyes.

Sometimes I see your lips looking like they have something to say

I see your lips saying I love you, and I thought of you today.

I love to be with you under the stars and the moon.

It seems like our time together is over way too soon.

When you are in my arms, it feels so right.

I closed my eyes and I thought of you tonight.
