I HAVE MY DAYS

I HAVE MY DAYS

I have my days and I'm sure you have yours.
For all the things that are wrong, there are no cures.
There are those days when I'm just not very nice.
Nowhere to be found is sugar and spice.

I have my days when I feel I just don't belong.
There are those days when everything goes wrong.
Just like you there are days I shouldn't get out of bed.
It's only going to get worse and I can feel the dread.

I have my days when I just don't want to play the game.
No matter where I go or what I do, it's always the same.
Just like everyone else I try to find someone else to blame.
I know as well as you know, that way of thinking is really lame.

I have my days when everything seems to get under my skin.
It seems like there's no one I can trust and I have not a friend.
There are those days when I have places to go and people to see.
Just like most, there are other places I would rather be.

I have my days when I just want to find somewhere to hide.
There are those days when nothing goes right, but not because I haven't tried.
Just like you there are those days when I can't find the mark.
Searching and searching I try to find the light, but all I'm left with is dark.

I have my days when I just can't find a thrill.
For some things that I do, I have to take a pill.
Just like everyone else, I want to eat my cake.
If you say that's not true, you're just being fake.

I have my days when the whole world seems blue,
Because you're gone and I can't spend my day with you.
Just like everyone else, there are things I want and things I need.
Wanting all of you, some might call greed.

I have my days that are good and they counter the bad.
There are those days filled with happiness that counter the sad.
There are those days that are sunny and bright without any haze.
And just like everyone else, I have my days.
