HAUNTED BY LOVE

I'm haunted by love that lives in the past.

There was a love that died, it just couldn't last.

There's an apparition that's lost in time.

No matter how hard I fight, it possesses my mind.

I'm haunted by love and in the darkness I saw her shadow pass.

In the raging thunder I heard her voice, but I knew it wouldn't last.

In the mirror I saw a glimpse of her soul, it quickly went away.

In a dream I felt her love, for that there was a price to pay.

I'm haunted by love and the places we've been.

I can hear her laughter howling in the wind.

I feel like someone has cast upon me an evil spell.

There's a fragrance so sweet only I can smell.

I'm haunted by love and at the stroke of midnight I can hear her sighs.

I wake up and in the pitch of dark, I can see her eyes.

I can hear loving whispers when I'm all alone.

There's a tender touch that gives me a chill down to the bone.

I'm haunted by love and the things she used to say.

That she would be mine forever, but then she went away.

She's gone and like a ghost that wants to play

The memories of her haunt my soul every single day.

I'm haunted by love as I lie here in bed.

The places that we went keep swirling around in my head.

The names of these places have me running fast and deep.

Deeper and deeper I try to escape into sleep.

I'm haunted by love feeling kisses on my lips that are soon gone.

There's music in my ears from an old love song.

There is a hint of perfume that attacks my nose.

Then as that fades away, there's the sweet smell of a rose.

I'm haunted by love even though it's been a year since the love died.

Time has healed the pain it's been months since I cried.

I've found a new love that's real and fits like a glove.

But here I am surrounded by the past, haunted by love.
