I WALK THROUGH THIS LIFE
I walk through this life one day at a
time.
I don't want what is yours; I just want
what is mine.
I may not always be able to read the
writing on the wall.
Things that I thought would be there
forever weren't really there at all.
I walk through this life trying to find
a love that is true.
So far that's been the hardest thing to
do.
There are those that say they will be
there for you 'till the end.
Then you look around and they're gone
never to be seen again.
I walk through this life searching for
a home.
You can have a house full of people and
still be alone.
There are some that the search for
riches is their goal.
I've spent my life's journey searching
for a mate for my soul.
I walk through this life searching for
someone that is real.
I'm trying to find someone that will do
what they say and say what they feel.
I'm searching for someone that will
want me the way that I want her.
Someone that when I touch, her feelings
will stir.
I walk through this life trying not to
show fear.
I need someone when it's cold that I
can hold near.
I need someone that can guide me
through the dark into the light.
I need someone that when everything is
wrong, she will make it right.
I walk through this life searching for
a connection that will make a spark,
Someone that will make an explosion and
light up the dark.
I've searched down below and I've
searched high up above,
I've been in the wrong places and the
right places searching for love.
I walked through this life 'till I
found you.
When I saw your face I knew all my
searching was through.
My feelings were so strong I really
didn't know what to do.
But then you said you would always be
mine, it was a dream come true.
I walk through this life and I learn
that things that you have found can quickly be lost.
I learned that promises to be there
forever can easily be tossed.
I've learned all about pain and all
about despair.
Even though you said you would be,
you're just not there.
