WHERE BROKEN HEARTS GO
There's a place so very close yet so
far away.
There's a place that any of us could
travel to on any given day.
There's a place that no one talks about
but we all know.
It's not a place we choose, it's a
place where broken hearts go.
There's a place full of doubts and
fears.
There's a place that is flooded with
lovers tears.
When someone you love leaves you for
another and you feel so low.
There's a place that's a blink of an
eye away, where broken hearts go.
There's a place that is full of
emotional pain.
There's a place where there is always
rain.
You think everything is going good, and
you have your ducks in a row.
Then while you’re flying high, you get
shot down, so you go where broken hearts go.
There's a place that is so deep into
the darkness that it is pitch black.
There's a place that when you get too
far in, you might never come back.
When you love someone so deeply, but
are afraid to let it show.
It will get to be too late and you will
be on your way to where broken hearts go.
There's a place that can weigh very
heavy on your soul.
There's a place where, if you're there
too long, it can take an eternal toll.
When you take your lover for granted,
you will reap what you sow.
You may not know it, but you're on your
way to the place where broken hearts go.
There's a place full of memories of
things you should have done.
You think if you had done something
different you would still be the one.
There's a place, even though it was
yesterday it seems like so long ago.
No matter how hard you try not to,
you're going to where broken hearts go.
There's a place where you can't tell
what's up or what's down.
There's a place where the voice of your
lost lover is the only sound.
There's a place where a minute seems to
last forever, where time goes so slow.
You may try to leave, but some people
never leave this place where broken hearts go.
There's a place filled with sadness and
despair.
There's a place where only love can get
you out of there.
There's a place where you may go to and
fro.
So if you've ever been in love, I'm
sure you've been to where broken hearts go.
