IT'S ALL ABOUT

It’s all about
I’ve been here for a while
And the end is getting near,
But I keep moving forward
Without any fear.

This will all be over soon
Of this, there is no doubt.
So this is what I think
Living life is all about.

It’s all about words spoken in a dare,
And voices in your head screaming beware.
It’s all about friendships that didn’t fair,
And a special someone that just didn’t care.

It’s all about time that passed way too fast,
And loves that didn’t last.
It’s all about survival when things go wrong,
And finding the one place that only you belong.

It’s all about the things you do to make the demons cease.
And the little things that give your mind some peace.
It’s all about what you do to make things right.
And what you believe in enough to stand up and fight.

It’s all about having faith in something that will never waiver.
It’s knowing that you can’t reach your goals without any labor.
It’s all about moving on and being forgiving,
And taking what life dishes out and keep on living.

THERE ARE PEOPLE

There are people
There are people on the streets.
There is someone in there care.
Some people will never forget that you weren't there,
But will never remember when you are.

There are people that will crawl in the dirt.
Some people will fly high in the sky.
There are people that will give everything they've got.
I've seen people that don't even try.

There are people in front of me.
I see people coming up from the back.
Some people can say things without speaking,
And others are just yak, yak, yak.

There are people with hair that's long and flows.
I know some people with no hair and their heads shaved clean.
Some people will live their dreams to the fullest,
And others will only dream.

There are people that will always float,
And others that will always sink.
Some people will always smell good,
And some that will always stink.

There are people on the outside waiting to get in.
Some are on the inside, and that's where they've always been.
There are people locked up on the inside that want to be free.
Some are on the outside that shouldn't be around you and me.

There are people standing on my left,
Some are standing on my right.
There are people that want to give you lovin',
And some people just want to fight.

There are people that live in the dark.
Some people hide in the shadows of the light.
There are people that want to steal your soul,
And some just want to hold you tight.

Some people are hanging high, while some are lying low.
Some people want to tell you where you should go.
There are people on top; there are people right below,
And they're all feeling down and moving slow.

There are people that are cold.
I've seen people that were hot.
If you put them all together,
They all want what you've got.

I've seen people that are dry.
I've seen people that are wet.
I've seen people that will remember,
And I've seen people that will forget.

There are people down below.
There are people up above.
There are people that I just can't stand,
And some that I will always love.

ALL I SEE IS YOU

All I see is you

I look in her eyes, and your eyes are all I see.
I’m a prisoner of love trying to get free
She’s everything I want, but I don’t know what to do
Because every time I look at her, all I see is you.

I kiss her lips that are so soft, tender, and fine
But when she kisses me, your lips are what’s on my mind.
She has a passion that makes me feel oh so good.
My heart wants what it wants and not always what it should.

I look at her, and lies are all I see.
I know it’s her, but in my mind, it’s you looking at me.
My soul has been wounded like a bird that can’t fly.
Love tries to come in, but I keep walking by.

Feeling her hand in my hand really feels good.
I’m just not sure I’m feeling everything I should.
She reaches out her hand, and what I see isn’t right.
I see your hand, and I want to hold it tight.

I was holding her close in my arms
Enjoying all her sweet charms,
Then a feeling ram through me and made me blue.
She was in my arms, but all I could think of was you.

I move the hair from her face,
And there you are from another time, from another place.
She likes to do all the things I like to do,
But I look at her, and all I see is you.

There’s a scent that she carries that keeps me in tune.
My senses tingle because it reminds me of your perfume.
This scent surrounds me and turns me into a babbling loon.
It takes over and all my thoughts it does consume.

I wake up in the morning, holding her breast.
I remove my hand, thinking this is a test.
I caress her thinking I know you and I are through,
But as I feel her skin on my skin, all I see is you.
