I MAY NOT ALWAYS KNOW

I MAY NOT ALWAYS KNOW

I may not always know the right thing to do.
I do know it feels right being with you.
I may not always know the right thing to say.
When I say your name it turns night into day.

I may not always know the words to your song.
I think I know enough to try and sing along.
I may not always know what to believe when I look at the sky.
I know when I look deep into your eyes I believe I can fly.

I may not always know which way I should go.
Sometimes I may have said yes when I should have said no.
I may not always know how to be all that clever.
When you say you love me, I feel I can live forever.

I may not always know when the time is right.
Sometimes I walk away when I should stand and fight.
I may not always know if I’m on the right road.
Sometimes it seems like all the signs are written in code.
I may not always know if I should steal a kiss.
When I’m all alone it’s your kiss I miss.
I may not always know if something is a dream or if it’s real.
One kiss from your lips and my wounded heart began to heal.

I may not always know which way is up and which way is down.
I do know I feel alive whenever you are around.
I may not always know my left from my right.
I know when it’s as dark as it can get I can always see your light.

I may not always know how to step back and let things be.
Sometimes I have a key and still can’t get free.
I may not always know when to keep my feet on the ground.
Then there you are saying I love you without making a sound.

I may not always know when I’ve stayed too long.
When I’m in your arms, I feel like that’s where I belong.
I may not always know what’s real in this game of love.
I do know your soul fits my soul like a glove.

LET GO

LET GO

Let go and tell me all your secrets that no one else knows.
Take me to your special places that no one else goes.
Let go and bring me to your darkness and make me see the light.
Show me things that are bad and how to do them right.

Let go and run with me to the edge of sanity.
Let’s walk the ledge overlooking reality.
Somewhere between insanity and reality lies all the things I crave.
I want to devour all these things before I’m laid in my grave.

Let go so all your fantasies will be mine and mine will be yours.
Then for whatever haunts our souls we will be our own cures.
Let go and show me your demons and I will show you mine.
When I look at you all I see are angels all in a line.

I want to go down in the valley and drink from your fountain of love.
Then climb up the mountains to your waiting lips above.
Let go and show me the fire that burns deep inside.
Then hold me tight and take me for a ride.
Look me in the eyes so I can know what you know.
Let go and touch me where you want to be touched up top and down below.
Let go of what’s holding you back and speak to me soft and slow.
Tell me where you want to be and where you want to go.

I know your soul has been locked up in a cage.
In your book of life I want to help you turn a new page.
Let go and show me the spot that will set your soul free.
Show me your lock because I’m sure I have the key.

Let go and strip away the mask that hides you from the world.
Strip away the shell that leaves nothing but a bright shiny pearl.
Let go and strip away all your inhibitions and fear.
When you’re cold, try me on and everything will be clear.

Let go of the tiger that you keep locked up inside.
Let go of your past and all the times you cried.
Before you can move on to something new there’s something you should know.
To have a new love in your life . . . first you have to let go.
