FACES

FACES

I've been all over the world and everywhere I go
I've searched high and low and I see faces I don't know.
I've been into the dark, look left, and look right,
I look down, I look up; I see faces in the light.

I see faces in the rain that all look the same.
There are faces in the game of life that pass me with no name.
Some are walking kinda lame, as the faces hang in shame.
Faces are moving around, and all you can see on the faces are pain.

The faces all have eyes, a nose and a mouth,
Even though they are the same, they are different without a doubt.
I don't know where it traces, but I see faces in many places.
I know there must be a reason and a rhyme, but I see faces of all races.

As through life I run, I see faces in the sun.
They’re just taking in the rays and don't stop until they're done.
I've seen faces in the wind, they seem to stretch and bend.
I've seen faces over and over again, I call these faces friends.

On my journey on this ground there are faces I have found
As I travel from town to town, some are long and some are round.
There are faces from all around that makes all kinds of sound,
Some are black and some are white, some are red, yellow, or brown.

I've seen faces everywhere, some are smiling and some don't care.
I've seen faces that say beware, as you pass they stop and stare.
While I was out on the range I saw faces that were strange.
I saw faces that were calm and I saw faces that were deranged.

As I'm passing by I see faces that will spy.
You look to find them and as you try all you see is one big eye.
There are times when I've seen faces that are shy.
If you shout and yell and they don't know why, you just might make some faces cry.

There are faces I have met; there are faces I can't forget.
There’s a face that I would let, there's a face I'd like to get.
As I stand at my post, there's a face I'd like to toast.
All the other faces turn to ghost; because your face is the one I want the most.

VALENTINE

VALENTINE

There is a time of the year that is about hearts, flowers, candy, and such.

It's the time of year to show someone you care so much.

It's a time for lovers and notes with a rhyme.

It's time to get the nerve to ask someone to be your Valentine.

You can give roses or a bouquet of flowers with just a few.

You can have a dinner that's made just for two.

On this day, you can ask me to be yours, or I can ask you to be mine.

All that matters is that we're together on this day of Valentine.

There's a place where lovers can make love even in the rain.

There's a place where lovers go called Lover's Lane.

You're the one I want to be with all the time.

No matter when it is, when I'm with you, you are my Valentine.

I want to give you all the things that lovers do.

How can I show you that this love is true?

I could tell you that I always want you to be mine.

I could take you in my arms and ask you to be my Valentine.
